I heard a story a few days ago that absolutely blew me away and scared me. I was on the phone to a friend and colleague of mine who happens to be (in my opinion) Australia’ best parenting advisor. I literally couldn’t believe my ears when she proceeded to tell me of a beautiful family that had just given birth to a gorgeous little baby that was having some settling issues. The midwife was doing a home visit to the unsettled baby and proceeded to unleash her advice on this poor new family. She simply said that when the child was to be put to bed that they should clear a space in the corner of the room with no stimulation and leave the baby to cry !! The grandmother looked at the so called midwife and said “you have a very sad heart .. please leave my home immediately”. Now thankfully the grandmother was strong enough to tell the ridiculous woman and her advice where to go, but isn’t this a scary thought … How many families has that “Midwife” visited and given that scary advice to ??? It breaks my heart to think that there are some mothers out there that actually think that the best thing for an upset child is to leave it alone and ignore it … how would you feel if you were unable to communicate, unable to feed yourself, unable to do anything for yourself if the one person you relied on to help you ignored you ?? I think we should have a name and shame for those so called midwives and baby sleep advisors out there that give such rubbish and dangerous advice… my only advice to all of you out there with a baby that seems to want you to cuddle them and hold them all the time … do it !! Soon enough they will be wiping your kisses from their faces and hugging you once in a blue moon and you’ll wonder why they don’t want to cuddle you anymore or don’t want to show you any affection … perhaps what you teach them as a baby will be programmed early on and will last a lifetime, don’t EVER let anyone tell you that you are loving your child too much and be careful how you handle your child’s emotional needs … remember to TRUST your instincts and TRUST that YOU are the person that your baby needs, of course your baby cries when she isn’t with you, YOU are her world … be there for your baby even though sometimes you are exhausted, tired and frustrated. Remember if you are feeling this way imagine how your baby feels (especially when they are 1000% reliable on you). Love and Cuddles there’s nothing better x

Thank you thank you before I got my babywedge my husband and I were literally running on 2 hours of sleep a night !! We were cranky, tired, exhausted and quite frankly we had no time for anything else and felt like we just wanted to sleep all of the time because Oliver was keeping us up all night screaming, crying and vomiting. Of course we knew he was in more pain than we were but it didn’t give us our sleep back. THANK YOU FROM the bottom of our hearts for giving us our life back ! Since we got the babywedge 2 weeks ago it’s like we have a different baby and now have more time to enjoy our son and each other … I will tell everyone I know about the babywedge and have lots of friends who are having babies that I will be buying as gifts… i know it will be the best present I can give x x x

Warm regards

Our little Alyssa has never had a great sleeping pattern. Swaddling, expensive cocoon wraps, assisted sleeping techniques, all left us with the same result; one cranky baby and 2 sleep deprived parents. Until we discovered the babywedge. From the first nap it was bliss! We got a full 4 hours of sleep. We woke up her coo’ing and gah’ing instead of angry screams!

She also loves it for tummy time and when Mumma is being a lil lazy she uses it for feeding time at the zoo. The pink cover also compliments her cot. We’ve recommended it to anyone who will listen & in our personal opinon it’s the best thing we’ve purchased so far.

I felt compelled to write this because of how much the Baby Wedge has simplified my life with my pregnancy and with my 9 week old baby boy Connor.

During my pregnancy I crossed many hurdles with the aide of the Baby Wedge!!!

About a year ago I took a fall and fractured my sacrum with has left me with periodic sciatic pain and general discomfort in my lower back.

As my belly started to grow my discomfort became at times unbearable until a good friend suggested I use the Baby Wedge! I got online and purchased one straight away and have never looked back! I placed the Wedge between my thighs whilst sleeping on my side which helped me straighten my spine. The next morning I woke to find NO SCIATICA!

Late into my pregnancy I developed G.O.R.D. (gastro-oesophageal reflux disease) and was told to prop myself up whilst sleeping and also to make sure I sat without slouching (a very hard thing to do 9 months pregnant)…I would find myself grabbing for the Baby Wedge to give me additional back support while sitting at my desk and also on the lounge, this reduced my symptoms of reflux astronomically, I would even slip the wedge under my pillow at night for that little extra ‘propping’.

Once Connor was born, my partner would joke around and ask me if I was actually going to part from the Wedge and use it for bub as intended.

I use the baby wedge every day in many different situations and Connor loves it!

The Wedge goes from the pram, to the cot, our bed (when co-sleeping) the lounge and also gets placed on the floor at play time under Connors play gym so you can only imagine how soiled it gets!! And all I do is zip off the cover and run the cover through the washing machine and it looks brand new again!

Thank you so much for making not only my pregnancy but also my baby Connor so happy and settled, I will be purchasing another Baby Wedge this week as a baby shower gift for my heavily pregnant sister in law. The Baby Wedge is definitely the ultimate Baby Shower gift!

The only problem I have with the Wedge is that there is no adult size one for me!

Once again thank you, thank you, thank you! I have attached a photo of Connor with his faithful Wedge.

I have attached some pictures of my little man on his Baby Wedge J

My first child suffered from colic and the nights were so hard to try and help her feel comfortable, so when our second daughter came along we looked for a solution to make her feel more comfortable. I read a blog where they suggested the babywedge and as soon as I got it home it was like a miracle – she self settled straight away and seemed so calm and relaxed – it was like she was a different baby !

My daughter has silent reflux (well only the GP reckons she has). The childhood nurses all said it’s normal for a baby to be unsettled. They just don’t take you seriously or lack of knowledge in that area. Anyway, my baby seems much happier now, I use the babywedge (a great product!). Keeps her elevated after feeding. Thank you Babywedge
